Our knitting 'posse' did it again- they pitched in to help us with inventory and re-arranging the store. The shop wouldn't be what it is without them! Stop in and see our new layout, we think you'll like it!
Winter Hours: During January and February we will close at 4:00 p.m. on Mon., Tues., Wed., and Fri. We will continue to be open until 8:00 p.m. on Thursdays and until 2:00 p.m. on Saturdays. As always, if you want to schedule a day or evening for your group, just call and we can arrange a special date.
Our cozy shop is located on the north side of Winterset's historic square. Shops in Carroll, Ames, Ankeny, West Des Moines and of course, right here in scenic Winterset! Classes Check out our Calendar for classes and knit alongs. Pre-registration is required and refunds will only be given if the class is canceled. If the Winterset Schools are canceled due to inclement weather then any class scheduled that day will be postponed. You will receive 10% off supplies purchased for your class at HFC.

Felted Clog Slippers- Sun., Jan. 22 & Sun., Jan. 27, 1 - 4 p.m. By far our most popular class! Teacher: Deb Finan Baby Socks- Sat., Feb. 4 & 11, 10:30 a.m.- 12:30 p.m. If you've always wanted to knit socks but were afraid to try then this is the class for you! Knit baby socks with worsted weight yarn and learn all the techniques you need to move on to socks for you! Teacher: Deb Shafer
